My Story
Hello! I would like to share about myself and my Scentsy story! I am married and a mom of 2. On August 20th, 2010 at just 15 days old, our daughter was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, which is a genetic life-threatening and shortening disease. Cystic fibrosis causes her body to produce thick and sticky mucus which clings to areas in her body like her lungs, digestive system, and pancreas. This mucus allows infections to damage her lungs and doesn’t allow her body to digest food normally. Because of this, she requires multiple pancreatic enzymes with every meal, must do multiple daily nebulizer treatments and chest physical therapy, as well as take numerous other medications just to keep everything under control. The responsibility of caring for a child with special needs like hers can be stressful and exhausting mentally, physically, and financially. I needed to find an outlet to help me balance my life a little more but would still allow me to take care of the daily needs of my daughter. I found that freedom with Scentsy! I had heard of Scentsy before but didn’t know much until a friend asked if I would be interested in hearing more about it. We talked about this wonderful opportunity and how amazing it is to be a part of Scentsy, a company that truly cares about their consultants and rewards them for all the hard work they put into their businesses. I’m glad I talked to her because I learned so much and knew I was making the right decision! Scentsy has given me the ability to meet new people, to contribute to our household financially, and provided flexibility to stay home and not only care for our daughter's needs, but now also our son and myself after a battle with breast cancer in 2018 and leukemia in 2023. I’m so thankful I chose this opportunity and my goal is to help pay it forward so others may see the blessings Scentsy can bring!
